Le Dolphin

It has been a couple of years now since Pete retired, and recently while pencilling the official hack ring at PH&PC, Taryn fell in love with a beautiful big bay gelding with the most elegant long neck.  Coincidentally this fellow was owned by Pete's previous owner, Jodee Matthews!  This was definitely fate, as after a couple of short emails and a quick ride before the EFA novice/intermediate show,   Le Dolphin was Taryns.  Fin stayed with Jodee until the SHCWA Newcomers, where he placed Runner Up Newcomer of the year!  He come home with us that day.  Fin has the most amazing temperament, he is so quiet but still has an amazing presence.  Both Taryn and I would like to thank Jodee so much for all her help with Fin over the last few weeks and for trusting in us that we will give Fin the wonderful home he deserves.

We were given the opportunity to purchase this stunning hack in September 2002. It was decided this was too good to pass up, so Pete was to complete the 2002 season with Jodee and was then to come to live with us after the Horse of the Year.  After a great Royal Show, Pete achieved Runner Up Horse of the Year again!! Pete was to be Taryn's show horse. He is a lovely horse with such a great personality, Pete was an orphan foal and therefore has some very funny quirks - when he is hungry he pokes his tongue out and he loves to rest his head on your shoulder while poking his tongue out!  Although Taryn didn't have a lot of time for showing due to her work commitments we usually attended Perth H&PC and the major shows during the season. Pete has achieved many Champions with us and has definitely earned his retirement.  Pete is now happily spending his days on 100acres with his harem of ladies!                                                                               Pete will always have a very special place in our hearts.
