Congratulations to Monique Morris on the purchase of the outstanding yearling Arabian Pony gelding Braylea Showtime. We wish Monique all the best with Brady in the future.

On the 18th of October Sarah and Wayne Middleton of Kelsarni Farm welcomed their first homebred pure arabian filly! Kelsarni Psyidah Flare is by Halimas Psytopia and from Lanaryn Sayidah Skye.

On the derivative day we had 2 entered and Sue & Emily had their boy as well.  What a fantastic day we had!!! 

Lanaryn Last Dance aka Patrick was looking awesome, as always!  Taryn stepped in to show him for Sue this time and wow did he fly into the ring! He showed beautifully and won Champion Partbred Male 4yrs & over!!  This was his best win by far, beating some stunning horses ;)

We almost didn't take Silkwood Elysium as we hadn't had enough time to bring her in to prep her, she was still unrugged in the paddock!  We decided it would be good to get her out again anyway as she has only been shown once since she arrived.  She scrubbed up ok and looked gorgeous in her cute little bridle and blingy browband!  Well it just goes to show that sometimes we put way too much effort into show prep because she moved into the ring doing her gorgeous little strut and posed well and won Champion Arabian Riding Pony mare 4yrs & over!  But it didn't end there!  She went back into the ring to compete for the overall Senior ARP trophy and won that as well!!!  Go Punkie!!!

Finally it was Braylea Showtime aka Brady's turn.  This will be his last class as a colt, as he is booked in to be gelded next week.  He looked beautiful, worked well and won Champion Yearling Derivative exhibit!  He is such a gorgeous young man!!!  This win topped off an amazing weekend for the owners of horses associated with Lanaryn Arabians!!!

This year we entered Nadalla Park Makmiadiva and Lanaryn Psylver Skye for the Purebred classes.  It was very exciting being judged using the scoring system and by renown international judge Renata Schibler. Taryn was asked to show a couple of other horses and was honored to show Lanaryn Psymbolik for Nicole Hooper and Lanaryn Majestik for Sarah Middleton       

First up was Sylvie. unfortunately she didn't place in her very strong yearling filly class, but we were very happy with her, she showed well and was extremely well behaved!!

Next was Lanaryn Psymbolik, wow has this young man grown!  Psymba moved beautifully and posed well for Taryn and placed Reserve Champion 2yo colt!!

Then it was Diva's turn, she looked amazing and the extra trot work at home payed off, she showed beautifully and moved like a dream!  Diva won Champion 3yo filly!!  Diva also won Champion Amateur owner purebred Arabian!!

Taryn also showed Lanaryn Majestik for Sarah Middleton of Kelsarni Arabians.  Although King was very well behaved, his mind just wasn't quite on the job and he didn't move as well as he can.  This knocked him down just a little and he missed out on a placing!

The class of the day had to be the intermediate stallion class, Lanaryn Shak of Hearts came into the ring like a vision, he took my breath away!!!  Jack was also the crowd favorite and he didn't disappoint!  No surprises when he won the Champion Stallion 7 - 11years!!!  Congratulations to Donna Murphy!!!

Thorpeville Marsha delivered a stunning big brown colt by Lanaryn Love Shaque at 2am on the 7th October!  Marsha is such a sweet girl, she never keeps us waiting, she foaled 11 days early!

Friday was Taryn's rider class and the Mediumweight over 15h class for Le' Dolphin.  Firstly was the Rider 21 - 35years. Fin was great even with the carriage horses in the next ring.  The workout included 3 changes of canter lead on the straight!  Fin did this perfectly and Taryn placed 3rd in a huge class of 16!!!!  After the grand parade it was the mediumweight class.  Fin didn't put a foot wrong and ended up placing 4th.  As it had been a busy week with the Arab classes and mares foaling, we decided to give the Saturday classes a miss this time!

Lanaryn Aanisah Skye was due on 19th September and we were hoping she wouldn't foal while we were at the royal this week.  On the 30th September I checked her just before heading off to work and she was dripping milk.  I was hoping she would hold off until dark, but it wasn't to be.  Taryn got home at 5pm and as she got out of her car Nisa nickered to her, she then dropped down and started to foal!  After a couple of worried phone calls to me (I was on my way home too) Taryn helped deliver a stunning Grey colt at 5.10pm. (oh, and that makes 3 mares foaled in the daylight this season!)

This year we decided to have an "easy" Royal!  We only entered Nadalla Park Makmiadiva and Braylea Showtime.  Our good friends Sue & Emily also entered Lanaryn Last Dance and came along with us as always, they are the best!  Diva placed 1st in her class, third year in a row that she has won her filly class!!!  Brady was in the Colt 3yrs & under and placed 2nd.  Was happy with his placing as he is only a yearling and he was such a good boy!!!  Taryn showed Patrick for Emily and he placed 6th in a very strong Derivative gelding 4yrs & over class!!

Lanaryn Last Dance

The wait for these foals seemed like years!!  Our thoroughbred mare Petite Ballerina (Pippa) was due on 25th August and Sabtah Nahre was due on the 28th August.  I had put the foaling alarm on Pippa for at least a week before that!  She broke her halter twice over these 3 weeks and I didn't check the alarm.  On the 8th September, I watched them both until around 1am and as they seemed a bit too settled, went to bed.  Pippa foaled around 4am and the alarm didn't go off!  I took it off straight away as Nahre was showing signs of foaling and I needed to use it on her.  Did a quick check on it and discovered it had been smashed!  Never mind, Pippa had given us a beautiful big chestnut filly with an unusual face marking and 3 white socks, this filly is by Lanaryn Love Shaque and we have named her Braylea Centre Stage.  While admiring the new addition we noticed that Nahre was streaming milk!  She promptly dropped down and delivered another beautiful bay filly, it was 7.30am, the second foal this season born in daylight!!!  This filly is by Komotion and named Lanaryn Devotion.

After a couple of very busy weeks I finally got a chance to go and get Lanaryn Masquerade (Keri) from the country property.  She wasn't due for 2 weeks, but as we drove across the paddock there galloping along behind Keri was a stunning chestnut foal with 4 white stockings!!!  I had to walk quite a way to catch her as she decided to take her foal as far away as possible!  When I finally caught up with them, what a lovely surprise to see that Keri had a filly!  She was about 2 days old so quite easy to handle and she went onto the float with her Mum with very little bother.  We gave her the 4th September as her birthday and her name is Lanaryn Psymphony, by Halimas Psytopia.

Miss U.S.A. has produced our first foal for the season and its a filly!!!  Lanaryn American Beauty was born on 12th August in the middle of the day, go Mary!  Amy is by Lanaryn Love Shaque and is really something special!
