Last Foal for the 2008 Season! Although Thorpeville Marsha wasn't due until 14th October, she showed all the signs of foaling at the end of September. On Tuesday, after attending the Royal with our Arabs, she looked like she might foal that night. Marsha had other ideas, she went totally off the boil for 2 days and then decided to start again. What a sweetheart, she waited until after we arrived home on the last day of the show and delivered a beautiful BIG black/bay colt, by Halimas Psytopia, at 9.25pm on Saturday, October 4th.

Royal Show Thoroughbred Day As we were entering Le Dolphin in the royal show to do the hacking, we decided to do the thoroughbred classes as well. Fin was not his usual quiet self all morning and once we stepped foot onto the arena he was very 'frisky'!!! Although not working his best he still placed 3rd out of 18! Go Fin!

Its another Filly!! After waiting such a long time and hoping for a Grey filly, Nisa decided to keep us waiting a little longer!! At 4.45am on Wednesday 17th September Lanaryn Aanisah Skye delivered a beautiful little Grey filly by Halimas Psytopia, Yay!!!!

Its a Filly! Our lovely old girl Karda Mordo Mahulena delivered a stunning dark bay filly by Halimas Psytopia on Thursday, 11th September.

Its a Colt! Wow, after such a busy weekend, Tiffany decided it was time to have her baby! She did at least have him at a very decent hour, 8.50pm on Sunday 7th September. To Lanaryn Passion Bey and Halimas Psytopia, a beautiful bay colt!

EFA Horse of the Year! _____________________________________________________________ What a great first Horse of the Year for Le Dolphin & Taryn!! On Saturday Taryn was unwell and luckily Caitlin stepped in to ride Fin for us, and what a fantastic job she did too! He worked beautifully to qualify for the finals indoors in the evening. They looked beautiful together and although Fin had never been in the indoor arena, he didn't put a foot wrong, they did a lovely workout and placed 2nd Runner Up!!! Thanks so much Caitlin!!! Taryn rode Fin on the Sunday and they achieved Top 5 in the Intermediate Large Hack of the Year. Then after quite a long wait for the last class of the day, and being the last horse to workout, Le Dolphin was sashed Owner/Rider Large Hack of the Year!!!! Thanks Jodee for talking us into staying and for all your help this weekend!

Its a Colt! Congratulations to Tamsin Taylor of Chambord Arabians!!! Bluesprings Le Solitaire has delivered a beautiful healthy chestnut colt by Halimas Psytopia! Born early in the morning on the 1st of August, Soli had no problems and although Tamsin was a little worried that she would reject the foal ,(Soli's Mum rejected her at birth), she took to being a mother like she had done it a dozen times over!!! Toby is a stunning little fellow and we look forward to his debut in the showring.

Welcome Pippa! Last month Taryn and I attended the Magic Millions Thoroughbred sale hoping to find a nice big broodmare to breed to one of our boys. We were extremely happy to find a gorgeous 16.1h, rising 4yo Dr Johnson filly that ended up coming home with us, and for a bargain price too!!! Who knows

Vale Highplains Flashdance 11/10/82 - 18/7/08 Sadly on Friday 18th July my lovely old mare Shanna, passed away suddenly. Shanna was the most reliable lady, being a multi Supreme winning Appaloosa at halter, and under saddle was shown extremely successfully in both English and Western. She was a very quiet riding horse and taught quite a few youngsters to ride. She even gave confidence to some to help continue riding after having riding mishaps! Shanna was the dam of 8 foals, the youngest being born on Christmas eve last year. I was there when Shanna was born, and thankfully was with her when she passed away. Rest in Peace my old girl.

Thank You!! It has been a couple of years now since Taryn retired her hack, Western News (Pete). Recently while pencilling the official hack ring at PH&PC, Taryn fell in love with a beautiful big bay gelding with the most elegant long neck. Coincidentally this fellow was owned by Pete's previous owner, Jodee Matthews! This was definitely fate, just a few short weeks later and Le Dolphin (Fin) is now Taryns new Hack!!! Thanks very much to Jodee for allowing Fin to come and live with us.
